Setting up your Conexant USB Modem setup for Linux (More like Ubuntu) | Beep-boop!


Step 1: Plug in your modem:

Just plug it in! A green light should come on.


Step 2: Go to your terminal and type in "dmesg | grep ACM0". You should see something like this:

=> Image of the HexChat IRC Client connected to the BunkerTreff IRC server.
=> Image of the HexChat IRC Client connected to the BunkerTreff IRC server.
=> Image of the HexChat IRC Client connected to the BunkerTreff IRC server.

Personal Thoughts

Personally, I think that IRC is very comfy to use. It's nice to see so much messages and channels in a very text-based chat.


This is all I have to say for now, might update this later with some more info about IRC.
